Five local authorities are piloting the Talk English Project from March to July 2017. Our colleagues in Derby, Wolverhampton, Westminster, Milton Keynes and Liverpool have recruited and trained volunteer Talk English ESOL teachers and Talk English Friends who are now teaching or supporting courses for beginners in their local area. New activities are due to start shortly which include Talk English Cafes, Sing English ESOL Choir at Wolverhampton Adult Education Service, Walk and Talk English in Princes Park in Liverpool and Discover and Talk English at Derby Museum and Art Gallery.

We are delighted that the project has been warmly received in these areas and many adult learners have an opportunity to improve their English and access services in their community thanks to the enthusiasm of volunteers and staff.  Find out more about the training and volunteering on the project in Derby here:
