These are just some of the words we can’t help but use when talking about the people who volunteer on Talk English.  Without our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to support people to improve their English and change their lives for the better.

Last Friday, we celebrated the contribution of volunteers on the project in Manchester. The Deputy Lord Mayor presented certificates and thanked the volunteers for the positive difference they have made, not just to the hundreds of Manchester residents they have been teaching English to, but also to the families of each and every one of these learners.

It was great to hear about the experiences of volunteers on the project so far and find out what they had gained from volunteering.  For some of our volunteers, it was also a chance to say goodbye as they move on from volunteering with Talk English into further teacher training, jobs or other courses.

We can’t say it enough… THANK YOU!
