A group of Talk English learners attended a lantern making workshop at Velvet Mills on Tuesday 9th October 2018. Katie from Cecil Green Arts hosted the lantern making workshop to create lanterns for Lister’s Lanterns Parade. It is a community lantern parade which takes place at Lister Park in Bradford. This year the event is expect to attract about 1000 people.

Katie demonstrated how to make a lantern and the learners listened and watched attentively before rolling up their sleeves and getting creative. It was messy but fun and the learners were all smiling.

Even the Talk English staff and volunteers were getting involved!

The learners will be going to Lister’s Lantern Parade in Lister Park to view their masterpieces on Friday 26th October 2018. Come along and bring your friends and families.
